About Me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years experience in private practice in the DMV region. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and completed both my internship and postdoctoral training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Subsequently, I worked for over 8 years at the highly regarded group practice Alvord Baker & Associates, LLC where I provided a range of therapy services, speaking engagements, community research, and clinicial supervision prior to launching into my own practice.

My practice provides a range of therapy and consultation services for children, adolescents, and adults. Common concerns that present to my office include stress based conditions as well as mood and anxiety disorders and ADHD. Please see services page for a more comprehensive overview. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the grounding basis for most treatment, and I also have specialized training in mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), supportive parenting of anxious childhood emotions (SPACE), and Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT).

I enjoy providing educational presentations and workshops to school and organizations as well as clinical supervision to trainees. My strengths as a clinician include my ability to make connections with people, a sense of humor, and flexibility in my approach. We also enjoy the company of our "therapy" dog, George.
